Research at KU's Lawrence Campus
The University of Kansas is a national, public research university with a long and distinguished history of achievement in a wide variety of academic subjects. KU is a Carnegie Doctoral/Research Extensive University, and has been a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities since 1909.
On KU’s Lawrence Campus, the Office of Research and Graduate Studies (RGS), in collaboration with the KU Center for Research, Inc. (KUCR), oversees a number of university research centers and institutes, state surveys, affiliated centers and core service labs. The mission of RGS is “To facilitate the discovery, application, and dissemination of knowledge.”
