Dissing the Neanderthal
These four life-size Neanderthals were fashioned
in the late 1920s by Frederick Blaschke for the Field Museum in
Chicago. They are no longer considered accurate and are no longer
displayed. "Blaschke made them hairy," says KU anthropologist
David Frayer, "and there are no data on that."
